Parking options at Dublin airport for drivers in their own vehicles are extensive, with several parking areas conveniently located near the airport terminals. These are paid parking facilities available for use by any passenger.

Book in advance. Doing so at least a month before your trip can help you get better rates.


There are both short-term and long-term parking options, or passengers can be dropped off outside their departure terminal. Reserved spaces are also provided for passengers with mobility difficulties. The airport consists of two terminal buildings, designated Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, with more convenient parking areas for passengers of each terminal. Terminal 2 opened in 2010, making it the airport’s most recent development, also constructed with a new multi-story parking building.

Short-Term Parking at Dublin Airport

In total, the airport offers passengers several thousand short-term parking spaces across various parking areas. Parking is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, as the airport terminals never close. Most short-term parking spaces are located in multi-story parking buildings, providing covered spaces. They are also very close to the terminals, allowing passengers to easily walk to the check-in area from their vehicles. No shuttle bus transportation is required for short-term parking. These areas are most suitable for stays of up to five hours, as longer stays can be quite expensive. Short-term parking is ideal for seeing someone off or greeting friends and family at the airport.

Short-Term Parking C has 1,500 spaces available and is located next to Terminal 1. It’s a multi-story building with a height restriction of 1.85 meters. It’s about a two to four-minute walk from Terminal 1 and a six to eight-minute walk from Terminal 2. For easier access to either terminal, Short-Term Parking A can be used, which has approximately 400 parking spaces. It’s about a two to four-minute walk from either terminal. Terminal 2 also has short-term parking, with 950 spaces in a multi-story building, and there’s a covered walkway between the parking and the terminal building. The height restriction for this parking is 2.2 meters.

Parking at Dublin Airport can be booked in advance online, or passengers can simply use the drive-up parking spaces. Online booking rates are €14.95 per day or part thereof, and drive-up rates are €4.50 for the first hour and €6.75 for each additional hour of stay, with a maximum of €60.00 per day. Parking prices include 23% VAT.

Additionally, there’s an Executive parking area next to Terminal 1, which is ideal for business travelers. It has dedicated entry and exit with vehicle license plate recognition, making it very convenient. Permits are available annually.



Short-Term Parking for Disabled Drivers at Dublin Airport

In the two main short-term parking areas, there are over 90 dedicated spaces for use by passengers with reduced mobility. These parking areas are dedicated to either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. For Terminal 1, there are fifty spaces available, located on the ground floor of the parking area, and for Terminal 2, there are 40 spaces between levels 1 and 2 of the new multi-story parking. The parking spaces are specially treated with a non-slip surface and are more convenient for wheelchair access. They are also clearly signposted. It is recommended to book disabled spaces in advance, as special rates are available.


Long-Term Parking at Dublin Airport

Long-term parking at the airport is not as close to the terminal buildings but is a much cheaper option than the short-term areas, making it ideal for stays of several days or even several weeks. They are also open 24 hours a day and are easily accessible via a free shuttle bus service. Long-term parking can be used for both terminals. There is no specific zone for each passenger building. Available spaces can be booked in advance, or passengers can simply arrive and park.

The Express Long-Term Red parking, with 8,400 spaces, is one of the available areas near Dublin Airport and is approximately five minutes away by shuttle bus. Shuttle buses stop at both terminals, near the departure areas. Shuttle transfers are available every eight minutes and are vehicles that can accommodate wheelchair users.

Consider long-term parking if your trip lasts several days. It’s usually cheaper and offers free shuttle service to the terminals

The second long-term parking is known as the Holiday Blue parking zone and is about ten minutes from the terminals by shuttle bus. It is located at the back of the airport on Ballymun Road, or R108. There are 4,000 spaces available here from €7.45 per day if booked in advance or €11.25 per day for drive-up spaces. Shuttle buses operate 24 hours a day and are available every fifteen minutes.

Automatic payment stations are located in both terminals and near the entrances to the terminal multi-story car parks, which can accept cash, credit cards, or laser cards. Payment stations in the Coach/Surface Car Park and Long-Term Red Car Park can be used by customers paying in cash. Passengers can also use a credit card at the exit barrier of the parking areas.
